UPDATE! ATTN: Kentucky State Police Searching for Murder Suspect Believed to be Armed and Dangerous *PLEASE SHARE*

***UPDATE*** KSP Post 11 London arrested Clayton D. Cox for Murder and Tampering with physical evidence. This case is still under investigation by Detective Ryan Loudermilk.

According to a press release from the Kentucky State Police on Sunday, April 28, 2024, at approximately 5:25 PM, the Kentucky State Police, London Post was notified by Rockcastle County 911 of a welfare check on Goochland Cave Road in Rockcastle County.

Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male from apparent gunshot wounds. The victim was identified as Joshua L. Dooley, 43, of Mount Vernon, Ky. Mr. Dooley was pronounced deceased by the Rockcastle County Coroner. Mr. Dooley has been taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

As a result of the investigation, KSP Detectives are currently attempting to locate a person of interest, Clayton D. Cox, 49, of Mount Vernon, Ky. Please do not attempt to approach Mr. Cox. KSP believes him to be armed and dangerous.
