How Did JCHS Baseball & Softball Teams Compare to the Entire State
The 2025 JCHS Generals and Lady Generals have both had successful seasons. Both earned the right to play in the 13[th] Regional Tournament. The Generals won the 49[th] District Championship, and the Lady Generals earned 49[th] District runners-up. With that in mind, how did the teams and individual players perform compared to the rest of the entire state. The following analysis came from the KHSAA online database prior to the 13th Regional games.
JCHS Generals
JCHS Generals
- The Generals placed 48[th] in the state for Team Batting Average with an average of 0.309 (768 at bats & 237 hits).
- The team was ranked 17[th] in the state for Team Runs with 245 runs (768 at bats).
- The Generals were ranked 28[th] for Team RBIs with 184 RBIs (768 at bats).
- The team was ranked 17[th] in the state for Team Strikeouts with 242 Ks (177 IP)
Individual Generals also had standout years ranking in the Top 50 in Kentucky.
- Cayden Farmer was ranked 3[rd] in the state for Strikeouts with 96 Ks (48 IP).
- Lucas Elam ranked 15[th] in the state for Doubles with 33 doubles (77 at bats).
- Cayden Farmer ranked 24[th] in the state for Doubles with 12 (86 at bats). Lucas Elam also ranked 37[th] for RBIs with 33 on the season (77 at bats).
- Michael Sparks ranked 48[th] for Runs with 38 runs (96 at bats).
JCHS Lady Generals
The Lady Generals ranked 44[th] in the state for Team Earned Run Average with an ERA of 3.04 (184.1 IP, ER = 80, Runs = 158).
The team also ranked 12[th] for Team Strikeout Leaders with 256 Ks (184.1 IP).
Individual Lady Generals were also among the best in the state.
- Candice Williams was ranked 1[st] in the entire state for Innings Pitched with 31 games pitched (182.1 IP).
- Williams ranked 5[th] for the number of strikeouts with 256 Ks (182.1 IP).
- Williams ranked 18[th] for Wins with 16 wins.
- Kylie Moore ranked 50[th] for Doubles with 13 doubles (102 at bats).
