5 drug-related arrests made through multiple search warrants in Owensboro, KY

The Owensboro Police Department announced they have arrested five people through multiple search warrants related to drug trafficking.
Officials with OPD’s Street Crime Unit completed two search warrants for homes in the 2400 block of Thornton Avenue through drug-trafficking investigation.
They say they believed the people living at both residences were involved.
The first home resulted in the arrest of 42-year-old Brandon Kellems and 38-year-old Ashley Stewart.
They say a large quantity of meth, THC products, other drug paraphernalia and guns were found.

In the other residence, 32-year-old Jessica Alexander, 27-year-old Stephen Mayfield and 29-year-old Travis Lamb were arrested.
Authorities say trafficking quantities of meth, marijuana and other drug paraphernalia were found in the second home.

The five people arrested are all facing varying drug charges, including trafficking a controlled substance.
