Ohio Woman Sentenced to Life in Prison (without parole) for Raping an Infant

July 02, 2025

A 39-year-old woman in Ohio found guilty of raping an infant was sentenced to life in prison.

On June 12, a jury found Kristina Jacobson guilty of the following charges:

  • Two counts of illegal use of a minor or an impaired person in nudity-oriented material or performance – both second-degree felonies
  • One count of rape – a first-degree felony
  • One count of gross sexual imposition – a third-degree felony
Kristina Jacobson was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole. The punishment comes months after her co-defendant was also sentenced to life in prison.

Forty-five-year-old Scott Jacobson, of Akron, was sentenced to life without parole for raping two children in his care, according to Summit County Prosecutor Elliot Kolkovich.

Scott Jacobson pleaded guilty to several charges on Aug. 15, 2024:

  • Two counts of rape with sexually violent predator specifications – felonies of the 1st degree
  • 10 counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor – felonies of the 2nd degree
  • Two counts of gross sexual imposition – felonies of the 3rd degree
Scott and Kristina Jacobson are designated as Tier III sex offenders. If either are ever released from prison, they would have to register with the local sheriff every 90 days for the rest of their lives.

“Kristina Jacobson abused an innocent child’s vulnerability and inability to defend or advocate for herself. There is simply no excuse for this abhorrent crime, and I’m grateful my assistant prosecutors and the court have made that clear,” Kolkovich said.
