Beatrice "Bea" Judd Obituary

Posted

Beatrice (Bea) Judd passed away Saturday, January 31st, 2026.

She was born on February 5th, 1947, to Arkus and Beulah (Hibbard) Pennington in Clay County Kentucky.

Bea leaves behind the love of her life and devoted husband of 62 years Tommy Judd. Together they built a beautiful life, raising a family and sharing various common interests.

Bea cherished any time that she spent with family and friends.

In her younger years she spent as much time as possible with her siblings. They all enjoyed playing cards, music, and singing together whenever they had the opportunity.

Bea treasured holidays and family visits. She looked forward to cooking special meals for her children and grandchildren, always going overboard to make sure each person had their favorite item on the table.

Bea and Tommy enjoyed four-wheeling, Bluegrass festivals, and car shows. They were fond of yardwork, tending to her flower beds, and sitting on the porch catching up with anyone who stopped by to visit.

Bea was always eager to help anyone in need and often did random acts of kindness without ever letting anyone else know.

In addition to her parents, Bea is preceded in death by her brother Ben Pennington, and sisters Sudie Sparks, Betty Sparks, Dorothy Southard, and Roxie Breeding.

Bea is survived by her Husband Tommy Judd, Daughters Carla (Frank) Fritsch. Susie (Tony) Steele. Grandchildren Alyssa Fritsch, Braxton Fritsch, Samantha Steele, Cameron Steele, and Lacey Steele. Great Grand Children Grayson Longhauser, and Brynleigh Jane all of Ohio.

Additionally, Bea will be missed by her large extended family, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors that she loved dearly.

Bea leaves behind a legacy of strength, resilience, humor, and love that will be profoundly missed by all who knew her.

Lakes Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements.

Wes Judd will be officiating the private family service.

Pall Bearers include James Bullock, Andrew Earl,

Walker Judd, Will Judd, Jason Judd, and Landon Miracle.
