Mack McIntosh, 47, of Booneville, KY, appeared in District Court before Judge Allen B. Roberts for arraignment in Case #26-F-00041
Jackson County Sheriff Daniel Isaacs reported to the public that on Saturday, March 14th, 2026, at approximately 12:09 p.m., Jackson County Deputy Sheriff Chris Baldwin arrested Mack McIntosh of Booneville, KY.
The arrest occurred along Pond Lick Road, approximately 7 miles south of McKee, following an investigation launched by Deputy Baldwin regarding an alleged fraudulent check signed and possessed by McIntosh.
Sheriff Isaacs reported that the investigation began on February 20th, 2026, following a call for service alleging that McIntosh had falsely obtained a check and signed it to himself without having been authorized by the account holder, in addition to having driven a vehicle without permission from the owner.
On March 12, 2026, Complaint Warrant #E05510005157306 was sworn out by Deputy Baldwin for these offenses. The complaint warrant alleges that McIntosh possessed a check dated for February 15, 2026, written out to himself in the amount of $300.00 from a checking account belonging to the victim, Joyce McDaniels (who is McIntosh’s mother). Joyce McDaniels was admitted to Saint Joseph Hospital Main, in Lexington, KY on January 17, 2026, due to a medical condition that left her physically incapacitated and nonverbal. The complaint warrant alleges that the defendant knowingly exploited Joyce McDaniels, resulting in the loss of $300.00 when he cashed the forged check and kept the money.
In addition, the complaint warrant alleges that McIntosh took a 2013 Hyundai Elantra belonging to McDaniels and kept it, failing to return it to McDaniels’ representative, Tanya Begley.
On March 14th, 2026 while on scene investigating a harassment complaint alleged on McIntosh, units observed him operating a vehicle along the roadway going away from the residence. A traffic stop was conducted, and McIntosh was taken into custody without further incident.
Throughout the course of this investigation, information was provided to Deputy Baldwin, indicating that McIntosh’s operator's license was suspended due to a previous DUI conviction.
Mack McIntosh was arrested, transported to and lodged in the Jackson County Detention Center on his outstanding warrant charging “Knowingly Exploit Adult By Person<$300”, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 1st Degree, Knowingly/Wantonly/Recklessly “Exploit of Adult by Person $300 or <”, in addition to the charges of: Driving on DUI Suspended License 1st Offense, No Operators/Moped License, License to be in Possession.
Deputy Baldwin was assisted at the scene by Kentucky State Police Post 7 Trooper Tanner Johnson.
At the arraignment, McIntosh entered not guilty pleas to all charges. A preliminary hearing was scheduled for March 23, 2026, to determine the existence or nonexistence of probable cause.
As in all cases at this stage of adjudication, the charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until provided due process and determined to be guilty by the court.
