Citizens Bank Community Hero

Why is this person a “community hero?”

Rev Carroll DeForest is a devoted Christian and worker for our Lord and Saviour. He operates the loan closet for the community of Jackson Co, for people who need a hospital bed, walkers, lift chairs, wheelchairs and personal items such as depends. He visits patients in hospitals, Hospice Care Center and also visits them at home when necessary. He is one when someone is sick or has passed away you will receive a card of sympathy or encouragement. He is always there for people in their time of need.

Rev DeForest is an outstanding person in our community. He is a member of the Jackson Co Cancer Fund & Festival of Hope. He is a dependable and helpful person. He and several churches in the community prepare and sell dinners throughout the year and all the proceeds go to the Jackson Co. Cancer Fund to help the patients. Jackson Co Cancer Fund personally doesn’t know what we would do without him, he is a Godsend. We greatly appreciate everything Rev. DeForest has done over the years for the community of Jackson County. A BIG THANK YOU goes out to him.

Congratulations Carroll for being our Community Hero!
