Pastor Williams left behind a large family and a lasting legacy in the community:

Local Contribution: Beyond his 51 years in the ministry, he authored a history of the Annville Baptist Church titled “A Gentle Shower of Divine Grace”. The book serves as the definitive written history of Annville Baptist Church in Annville, KY. It documents the church’s timeline, ministries, and foundational impact on the local community over the years.

Context of the Title: The title is a direct reflection of the church’s long legacy of faith. The phrase “Showers of Grace” or “Showers of Blessings” is historically significant to the congregation, celebrating how God’s grace has continuously poured over the church body throughout its generations.

Significance to the Community: Pastor Williams authored the book using his unique perspective as someone who spent more than 51 years dedicated to the ministry. It stands as a physical part of the legacy he leaves behind for his family, friends, and the congregation he loved.

Our community is a better place because of Mr. Williams.
I, personally, played for Coach Williams and maintained communication with him
through the years. He called me “Rocket”. Well, Rocket will meet you at the river, Coach!
