Dallas Isaacs was born July 29, 1935, as the 15th child of Frank and Maranda (McQueen) Isaacs. He passed away at Baptist Health Hospital in Richmond on October 11, 2025. He was 90 years of age.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years Eileen (Bingham) Isaacs. He is also survived by one sister Beatrice Andrew of Union, Kentucky in Boone County. As well as a host of nieces, nephews and many great and great great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents Dallas was preceded in death by his siblings, Arvil, Bud, Elmer, David, Vernon and Russell Isaacs, Ella Banks, Geneva Brown, Natalie Brown, Callie Dobbs, Janette Lamayer, Bonnie Isaacs and Lilly Simson.
He accepted Christ as his savior at Union Baptist Church in Boone County in the late 1950s.
He was a veteran of the United States Army. Dallas done his basic training in Fort Knox, KY. He was sent to Korea serving 1958-1959. After returning to the states, he served in Fort Bliss, Texas, and From August, 1961 until August 1962 he served in Fort Chaffee, AR. After that he served in the Reserves until Sept. 1962. Dallas was a member of the local D.A.V. Jack Welch Chapter #165.
He was a member of Blackwater Baptist Church #1 for 63 years. He loved singing especially church hymns and he also sang with several gospel groups. Dallas loved working in his workshop making different wooden objects.
We feel that our loss is truly heavens gain. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Funeral services for Dallas will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday October 16, 2025, at the Lakes Funeral Home in McKee with Bro. Tim Johnson presiding. Burial will follow at the Bingham Cemetery in Tyner. Pallbearers include Danny Banks, David Banks, Richard Andrew, Stephen Andrew, Aaron Isaacs, Lindsey Isaacs and Roy Nichols. Honorary Pallbearers include members of all DAV.
