Janie Mae Callahan was born February 14, 1967, in Madison County, Kentucky to the late John and Mary (Ramsey) Richardson. She departed this life on January 25, 2026, at the Lee County Health and Rehab, she was 58 years old. She is survived by her children, Valerie (Brandon) Sparks of McKee, Jennifer Lear, Ricky (MaKayla) Lear of Berea and Chris Lear of Richmond. Her siblings Johnny (Loretta) Richardson, Glenn (Dinia) Richardson, Josh Reynolds all of Lexington and Betty Richardson of Richmond. She was blessed with twelve grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents Janie was preceded in death by her husband Rickey Callahan and two sisters Della Clifton and Ruby Leis.
Funeral Services for Janie will be held at 1 P.M. on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at the Lakes Funeral Home Chapel in McKee with Bro. Terry Perkins officiating. Burial will follow at the Pine Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers include Jonathan Sparks, Zayden Sparks, Johnny Richardson, Charles Smith, Ricky Lear and Brandon Sparks.
