JC GENERALS TRACK & FIELD BUILD MOMENTUM AT MIDSEASON

MADISON CENTRAL — The Jackson County Generals delivered a strong meet this week, highlighted by a wave of personal records as the team passes the midpoint of the season.

Lillie Davidson led the distance group with a standout 14:42.46 PR in the 3200m and added a 6:44.20 PR in the 1600m.

Miranda Powell doubled up as well recording PRs in both the 1600m (8:49.60) and 800m (3:40.58).

Jadyn Agee (5:02.85), Jake Jones (5:06.17), and Hunter Peters (5:32.24) PR in the 1600m.

In the 800, Braxton Hoskins ran 2:43.29, followed by Lane McWhorter at 3:25.46, both personal bests.

Jaxon Turner added a PR in the 400m (1:01.58) as he inches so close to sub 60!

Hadassah Newman posted a 15.36 PR in the 100m.

In the field events, Ben Rader led the discus group with a 89-9 PR, with Chase Shearer (58-5), Sage McKinney (57-5), Lexi Ohmit (49-6), and Alicia Ohmit (39-2) also setting new marks. In shot put, Hannah Jackson threw 23-0, followed by Sage McKinney (22-4), Emmalynn Harris (19-5), and Alicia Ohmit (17-11), all personal records.

“We’ve got a lot of athletes right on the threshold of some big milestones,” said Coach Rader. “Whether it’s breaking five minutes in the mile, getting under 60 in the 400, or reaching a new mark in the field events—each athlete has a goal in sight. It’s really cool to see them excited about getting to those new places.”
