Madeline (Flannery) Marcum was born January 10, 1942, in Jackson County and departed this life January 1, 2026, at the Advent Health Hospital in Manchester, at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Dorsey & Laura (Mays) Flannery.
She is survived by children, Ricky (Della) Marcum of Gray Hawk, Michael Marcum of Tyner, Larry (Marlene) Marcum of Sextons Creek, Peggy Faultner of Berea and Bessie (Mike) Dobson of Louisville. She is also survived by her sisters, Marie Young of Annville, Retha Ernest of Georgetown, Jessie (Walter) Fox of Ohio, and Betty (Johnny) Young of Ohio. She was also blessed with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Madeline was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Marcum; her daughter, Nora Wilson and by her siblings, Denny Flannery, Junior Flannery, Clayton Flannery, Carlos Flannery, Gladys Hurst, Freda Isaacs and Julie Brandeneburg.
Madeline was a member of the Adkins Town Holiness Church.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Steven Dezarn officiating. Burial will follow in the Marcum Cemetery.
