Brandon L. Blanton, 41, of McKee, KY, was scheduled to appear before Judge Allen B. Roberts in District Court for arraignment in Case #26-F-00038 for the alleged crime of “Flagrant Nonsupport”.
However, Blanton failed to appear in court for his arraignment. Judge Roberts subsequently issued a bench warrant for his arrest, setting a $750 cash bond for each case.
Blanton was arrested on March 03, 2026 by the Somerset Police Department when they executed a Complaint Warrant obtained by the Jackson County Attorney, Ross Murray.
Complaint Warrant #E05510005021464 alleges that Blanton has violated KRS 530.050 (2)(a) flagrant nonsupport, in that he has persistently failed to provide support which he can reasonably provide and which he knows he has a duty to provide by virtue of a court or administrative order. Said failure has resulted in an arrearage of child support of more than two thousand five hundred dollars ($2,500). Child support was ordered by the Madison Family Court beginning on March 01, 2006 in the amount of $252.00 per month. The case was transferred to the Jackson Family Court on November 17, 2009 and Blanton became $2,543.30 delinquent on June 01, 2009.
As in all cases at this stage of adjudication, the charges are allegations and the defendant is presumed innocent until provided due process and determined to be guilty by the court.
