Rebecca Fowler was born August 28, 1940, in Madison County, KY and departed this life January 30, 2026 at the Kenwood Health & Rehab in Richmond at the age of 85. She was the daughter of the late Thomas & Flossie (Poynter) Viars.
Rebecca is survived by one son, David A. Fowler of Irvine, KY and by one brother, Julian Viars of Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Rebecca was also preceded in death by her husband, Howard J. Fowler; by four sons, Harold Dennis Fowler, Thomas Edward Fowler, Floyd Anthony Fowler and William J. Fowler; by sisters, Maxine Parrett and Betty Whitaker and by three brothers, Lloyd F. Viars, Alvin Viars and Leon Viars.
Graveside services were held 11:00 AM on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the T.M. Lakes Cemetery in Sand Gap. Lakes Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
