Roger Williams, 81, of Annville, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at his residence. He was born in Clay County, Kentucky, on May 1, 1945, to the late Ralph and Ruby (Wilson) Williams.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Pat (Metcalf) Williams; their two daughters, Robin Smith and Mandy (Rick) Hays; his grandchildren, Jared (Leeann) Smith, Rachel (Wendell Davidson) Isaacs, Jacob (Katherine) Hammons, Serena (Ty Morgan) Smith, Jessica (Blake) Burnett, Josh Hays, and Jacob (Haylie) Hays; and his great-grandchildren, Jace Isaacs, Lily Isaacs, Reed Smith, Riley Smith, Luke Hays, Hays Burnett, and Jace Davidson, as well as one great-grandchild on the way, Meredith Lake Hammons.
He is also survived by his older brother, Don Williams; his special twin, Joan Williams; and his baby brother, Howard (Sandy) Williams.
In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by his parents-in-law, Carlos and Rena Metcalf; his sister-in-law, Judy Williams; and his son-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Smith.
Roger served as a pastor at several different churches for more than 51 years. He was also a devoted member of Annville Baptist Church.
Funeral services for Roger will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, September 18, 2026, with Brother David Wilson, Brother Gary Farmer, and Brother Will Langford presiding. Burial will follow in the House, Carpenter and Williams Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Johnny Legate, Jack Bolton, Donnie Massey, Den Rice, Carl Westerfield, and Kevin Rice. Honorary Pallbearers are Gary Reece, Frank Fouts, Doug Edwards, Greg Parrett, Jeff Sams, Philip Allen, Doug York, Darrell Hurley, Charles Goins, and Brian Murray
