Jace Jemel Messer was born April 28th, 2017, in London Kentucky and departed this life on Saturday August 8th, 2026, in Tennessee.
Jace was the light in our world. He had a way of making people feel loved, seen, and cared for without even trying. He would always say, “I hope you have the best day,” no matter how his day was going. His little heart was simply too sweet for this world.
Jace is survived by his Mommy and Daddy, Carrie and Tyler Messer; his brothers, Gabriel and Kason Messer; and his sister, Aleah Jenkins. He is also survived by his grandparents, Sonny and Melissa Gabbard, Carol Messer, and Donnie Mathis; his Mimi, Vickie Guthrie; and his sweetheart, Cheyenne Sams (Aunt), his great grandparents, Dewey & Pam Allen and by his great-grandfather, Jewell Gabbard. He leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and his very best friends Xavier and Malaki who all loved him deeply.
A visitation will begin at 12 Noon on Friday at Lakes Funeral Home.
Funeral services for our sweet Jace will be held on Friday August 14th, 2026, with Bro. Adam Eversole officiating. Burial will follow in the Mathis Cemetery in Buring Springs. Pallbearers include Sonny Gabbard, Roy Cobb, Kenny Wolfe, Josh Messer, Cheyenne Sams, and Jacob Sams
Jace loved rainbows, and because of that, we ask everyone who attends his celebration of life to wear a different color of the rainbow. Please, no black. Instead, let us fill the room with color the same way Jace filled our lives with love, happiness, and light.
Jace may have only been with us for a short time, but the love he gave and the light he brought into this world will stay with us forever.
