For our October update, Jackson County High School’s Academic Team have had a great kickoff to the year! Last week, we had our first two matches of league competition in our Red River Academic League. We won both matches in quick recall against Estill and Powell Counties.
Earlier this month, our team had the privilege to participate in KAAC’s first-ever Pre-Season Assessment competition. HS Academic Team members across the state took part in competing in a content assessment in one or more of these six areas: General Knowledge, Math, Social Studies, Science, Language Arts, and Arts & Humanities.
These students were recognized in the Top 30 in the state:
Gabriel Gross
—13th in Science
Addan Witt
—1st Place in General Knowledge
—1st Place in Arts & Humanities
—Top 30 finish in Mathematics
—Top 30 finish in Language Arts
