The Jackson County Generals turned in another strong week on the hardwood, notching convincing wins over both the Knoxville Ambassadors and the Williamsburg Yellow Jackets.
Jackson County opened the stretch with a 71-52 victory over Knoxville, using balanced scoring and defensive pressure to pull away in the second half.
The Generals carried that momentum into Saturday’s matchup with Williamsburg, cruising to a 72-27 win in front of their home crowd.
With the pair of victories, the Generals improved their season record to 14-6, continuing to climb in the regional standings as tournament season approaches.
Head Coach Parker Stewart praised his team’s poise and defensive consistency, key factors that have helped Jackson County maintain one of the stingiest defenses in the state.
According to KHSAA statistics, the Generals currently rank 23rd statewide in points allowed per game — a testament to their disciplined defensive effort.
Jackson County now turns its attention to a crucial district matchup this Friday night against Clay County, part of a girls-boys doubleheader beginning at 6:00 p.m. in McKee.
