Sand Gap Elementary Principal Daniel Muncy reported, "Few people in life truly earn the title of an Icon, but if anyone does, it is Reverend Carroll DeForest.
Over the years, Reverend DeForest has given so much to our county, and he continues to embody the character, kindness, and leadership that we should all strive to show each day.
His example perfectly reflects our three Tiger Traits of being respectful, responsible, and safe in all that we do.
We were incredibly honored to welcome Reverend DeForest to spend time with our Third Grade Tigers on Day 4 of Read Across America Week!
He graciously took time to read with our students and share a few words of encouragement that made the day especially meaningful for everyone in the room!
Moments like these remind us how fortunate we are to have role models like Reverend DeForest in our community. His kindness and dedication leave a lasting impact and impression on everyone and we are extremely grateful for the example he continues to set!
We hope he’ll stop by to visit our Tigers again very soon!"
